The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition does not include the content from the Wii U and Switch original’s expansion pass, according to a message from the My Nintendo Store Team.
Reddit user raptormelonsite (via Nintendo Soup) contacted My Nintendo Store UK to ask if the enhanced version of Breath of the Wild would include all previously released DLC content. A representative responded, “the game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – My Nintendo Store will not include the paid DLCs.”
Following its launch in March 2017, Breath of the Wild received two DLCs tied to its expansion pack. The Master Trials’ DLC added a Trial of the Sword challenge for players to complete, Hero’s Path and Master modes, a travel medallion to simplify fast travel, and more. Then, The Champion’s Ballad introduced more substantial story content. In 2021, a version of Breath of the Wild containing all DLC on the game card was released in Japan.
