Back in June, we got our first hands-on experience with the Xbox ROG Ally X. But at the time, we were testing it out in a bit of a vacuum. We didn’t know when Xbox’s foray into handheld gaming was launching nor how much it would cost, and we got a heavily guided tour of the device that only allotted 20 minutes to toy around with Gears of War: Reloaded. It was enough time to be impressed by the power and concerned about the size, but a little more information was needed to fully know if it was a gaming essential or a total luxury.
