Following an epic 87-85 win in a decisive Game 3 on Thursday night to claim the first-round best-of-three series by a 2-1 count over the No. 3 seed Atlanta Dream, the No. 6-seeded Indiana Fever have advanced to the WNBA semifinals to take on the No. 2-seeded Las Vegas Aces in a best-of-five series.
Similar to the Fever, the Aces also secured a tightly contested Game 3 victory on Thursday night by defeating the No. 7-seeded Seattle Storm by a 74-73 score.
While Atlanta was a tough task for Indiana in the first round, Las Vegas will be even more formidable in the semifinals, as the Aces have won 17 of their last 18 contests and hold a 19-5 record at home (including playoffs).

How did Indiana fare against Las Vegas in the regular season?
In the regular season, the Fever won two of three meetings with the Aces to secure the season series. While Las Vegas won the initial matchup on June 22 (89-81) at Michelob ULTRA Arena, Indiana secured the next two meetings from Gainbridge Fieldhouse on July 3 (81-54) and July 24 (80-70).
Despite being unavailable for the postseason due to her right groin injury, Caitlin Clark actually faced the Aces on June 22. During that lone appearance, the former Hawkeye scored 19 points, but had an unusually poor shooting performance by finishing just 7-for-20 from the field, 1-for-10 from 3-point territory, and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line during her 35 minutes of play.
