Which local golfers qualified for the UIL State Golf Tournament?

State golf tournament tickets have been punched. 

With regional tournaments wrapping Thursday evening, several Wichita Falls area golfers put together two strong rounds on the course this week, earning a state berth. 

Here are the local qualifiers for state: 

Class 4A boys – Jagger Nees, Graham

Class 2A girls – Maylei Marsh, Quanah. 

Class 2A boys – Linden Brown, Windthorst; Caleb Johnson, Olney

Class A girls – Crowell (Sage Bearden, Kyla Templeton, Kaydence Carney, Jaylee Rodriguez, Eva Diaz); Midway (Addie Rice, Faith Vogel, Isley Stanley, Rylie Lamar, Cara McDonough); Sydnee Koonsman, Throckmorton. 

Class A boys – Dayne Sadler, Prairie Valley

Results from six of the seven UIL regions involving teams from the TRN Sports coverage area are listed below. 

Region II-A results were not made available except that the Crowell girls finished second as a team, qualifying for state with Sage Bearden leading the way for the medalist championship.

Region I-5A Tournament

The top three teams and the top three medalists not on those teams advance to the Class 5A State Tournament at Legacy Hill Country Club in Georgetown. The girls tournament is April 28-29. The boys tournament is May 5-6.
