Women’s boxing takes over Germany as Yuko Kuroki and Sarah Bormann compete in a minimumweight unification fight Saturday in Hamburg.

Yuko Kuroki vs. Sarah Bormann is on October 18 from Sporthalle Wandsbek in Hamburg. The main card starts at 3 p.m. ET and the main event should begin around 6:30 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last. 

Kuroki (25-8-2) is a former WBC minimumweight champion who has also won WBA and WBO atomweight gold. She lost the latter belts in 2024 but has since won three straight, including a win in January for the WBA minimumweight title.

A four-time amateur champion, Bormann won interim minimumweight and contended for light flyweight gold in the past. The German is on a three-fight win streak, holding the WBO minimumweight title since May 2024.

Bormann will have home-field advantage, but who will walk out of Hamburg the master of the 105-pound division?

Also on the card, Rydell Booker faces Petar Milas. A 2000 Golden Gloves champion, Booker (27-10-1) famously fought James Toney in 2004. The 44-year-old served a decade in prison following that fight, returning to boxing in 2018. He’s 0-3 in 2025, his last win being in 2022.

Milas (18-1) is on a three-fight win and knockout streak. The Croatian has 14 wins via the power punch.
