After what has been a long and confusing offseason, the 2025 NFL draft is finally here. The Pittsburgh Steelers had a very quiet offseason aside from the trade to land wide receiver DK Metcalf. This has us anticipating the upcoming draft even more. Especially that all-important first-round pick.
Based on last season, if the Steelers stay put at pick No. 21, you can expect the Steelers to make their pick somewhere in the neighborhood of 10:36 PM ET. This is when the Miami Dolphins made their choice of Chop Robinson in 2024.
If the Steelers do stay put, their top target could be former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. In recent years, the Steelers haven’t hesitated to trade up for a player they want, such as offensive tackle Broderick Jones in 2023. However, it is rarer for the Steelers to trade back, even if it meant they could recoup the second-round pick they gave up in the Metcalf trade.
