It’s Carb Day in Indy, with plenty happening on and off the track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Indy 500 drivers will continue practice. Pit crews will compete in the Pit Stop Challenge, a staple since the 1970s. Wienermobiles will race. And the whole day wraps with a concert.

Bret Michaels and the All-American Rejects are headlining the Miller Lite Carb Day Concert at 4 p.m. inside turn 3 at IMS.
Why is it called Carb Day?
The cars in the race don’t have carburetors, but decades ago, it was the last day for race teams to tune them in their gasoline-powered car. Carburetion Day was on a random day the week before the race and wasn’t open to the public until the mid-1950s.Â
