EFL Championship side West Bromwich Albion have made an approach for Stade Rennais midfielder Glen Kamara (29), according to a report from L’Équipe

Kamara, who only joined Rennes last summer, spent the second half of last season on loan at Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League. However, he ultimately would not remain in the Gulf State. But nor does he have a future at Roazhon Park. The midfield at Rennes has evolved over the summer with Baptiste Santamaria and Azor Matusiwa already departing.

Further exits are expected in this department. Jordan James is the subject of significant interest from Parma, Wrexham, and another, unnamed Championship side. Kamara is expected to leave, too. In recent days, Bologna, West  Brom and FC Copenhagen have all made approaches for the Finland international.

All three have contacted Rennes about a loan move with a buy option. L’Équipe understands that it is Bologna who currently lead the race for his signature.
