The typical cast for Dancing With the Stars features reality stars, retired athletes, and actors. But what about famous but mysterious girlfriends? Jordon Hudson, the girlfriend of UNC coach Bill Belichick, was rumored to have almost been on DWTS, as old Disney+ copy read Hudson as one of the contestants before the show aired. But there was no explanation as to why she wasn’t on this season, besides rumors of scheduling issues and alleged negotiation issues. Now, host Alfonso Ribeiro confirmed that the final casting decision was between Hudson and another contestant, who was just recently eliminated. “It was Hilaria Baldwin vs. Bill Belichick’s girlfriend,” he shared at a dental conference, where all good gossip is shared. While getting sent home last week, Baldwin reflected on how she got on the show in the first place. “All of this happened so quickly,” she shared in her exit interview. “I signed the contract between when I got off the plane and when I got my baggage.” So it was a really last minute decision on all sides.
I have no idea about Hudson’s dancing skills, but she would’ve been an incredible contestant on the show. Moreso for the memes and fan edits of it all, and less so of the unlikely ability for her to charm the audience — that’s Andy Richter’s job.
