It’s time to vote for the Guardian Foundation Repair boys athlete of the week in the Knoxville area for May 5-10.
This week’s lists includes athletes from the baseball diamond, the soccer field and the Class 3A sectional track meet.
Here are this week’s candidates
Evan Beeler, Farragut: Beeler finished first in both the 800 and 1,600 meter races during the TSSAA Division I, Class 3A Sectional on Saturday. He finished the 800 in a time of 1:53.37 and finished the 1,600 in a time of 4:14.08.
Waylon Burgess, Coalfield: Burgess pitched 6.2 innings allowing five hits and striking out 10 in a 10-2 win over Greenback on Saturday.
Parker Free, Oak Ridge: Free was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in a 4-2 win over Powell last Monday. He was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in a 6-2 win over Farragut last Friday.
Levi James, Oneida: James scored two goals in a 9-0 win over Oliver Springs last Monday. He had a hat trick (three goals) in a 5-2 win over Eagleton last Tuesday.
Ian Neff, West: Neff finished runner-up in the long jump (22 feet, six inches) and fourth in the triple jump (43-0.5) during the TSSAA Division I, Class 3A sectional meet on Saturday.
Xavier Underwood, South-Doyle: Underwood was 2-for-2 with a home run, a double and two RBIs in an 8-4 win over Heritage last Monday.
Joe Webb, Pigeon Forge: Webb was 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs last Monday.
Landon York, Campbell County: York finished first in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.03 seconds and he captured runner-up in the 300 hurdles (39.95) during the TSSAA Division I, Class 3A sectional meet on Saturday.
