Vote for Louisville-area high school boys athlete of the week before polls close Thursday

The nominees for this week’s Courier Journal boys athlete of the week delivered on area baseball and lacrosse fields.

Voting is underway for The Courier Journal’s boys athlete of the week. The poll closes at 6 p.m. Thursday, and the winner will be announced Friday.

Here are the nominees:

Jarett Stewart, Spencer County baseball

Senior Jarett Stewart didn’t allow a run and struck out 14 in six innings against Collins.

Will Scardino, Kentucky Country Day baseball

Senior Will Scardino struck out nine and allowed one run in the Bearcats’ victory over Francis Parker.

Keeton Kleinhenz, Bullitt East baseball

Sophomore Keeton Kleinhenz struck out 15 in six innings in the Chargers’ win over Whitefield Academy.

Logan Bryant, Trinity lacrosse

Senior Logan Bryant scored seven goals and dished out two assists in a win over Woodford County.

Aiden Jenkins, Manual baseball

Sophomore Aiden Jenkins drove in eight runs on three hits, including a home run, against Francis Parker. He also stole three bases in the Crimsons’ victory.
