US House votes to establish bipartisan task force for Trump assassination attempt investigation

The House of Representatives established a bipartisan task force to probe the attempted assassination of former President Trump at a Pennsylvania rally, voting 416-0. The task force will include seven Republicans and six Democrats. Overarches include security lapse investigations and recommendations to prevent future incidents. Findings will be reported by December 13, 2024.
