Trudeau immigration plan in doubt as population gains ebb slowly

Canada’s population growth is slowing as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government reduces immigration. Despite this, the number of temporary residents remains high, surpassing 3 million. The country added 250,000 people in the second quarter, with international migration accounting for 96% of the increase. The median age has slightly decreased due to high immigration levels.
