With the NFL season fast approaching and training camp already underway, Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are locked in on football—but that’s not the only major project they’re tackling together.

The superstar duo is set to open “1587 Prime Steakhouse,” a high-end dining experience located inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel. While an official opening date has yet to be announced, anticipation is building fast, and the restaurant is expected to debut very soon.

On Tuesday, a behind-the-scenes video posted to social media showed the two taste-testing some of the dishes and signature steaks that will be featured on the menu—a moment that further amped up excitement among fans.

Kelce posted on his Instagram story: “It’s almost that time KC!!!”

He also jumped into the comments, adding: “Man, that food was better than I could have imagined!! KC, get ready baby!!”

Fans reacted to the video:

“We’re getting closer,” a fan said.

Someone else added, “Getting a trip to Kansas on the books for this.”

Another person wrote, “Impatiently waiting for reservations to open up!”

“If it’s good enough for Pat and Trav, it’s good enough for me,” one more fan commented.

Both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have spent their entire NFL careers with the Kansas City Chiefs, and over the years, they’ve truly made the city their home. They’ve been embraced as much—if not more—than any athletes to ever play for one of Kansas City’s professional sports teams.

Together, they’ve helped turn the Chiefs into a modern-day dynasty, winning three Super Bowls in eight years and appearing in five. Beyond their on-field success, they’ve also made a significant impact off the field, giving back to the community in countless ways. Opening “1587 Prime” is just another step in leaving their mark on the city they’ve helped elevate to new heights.
