Chelsea could receive offers for Nicolas Jackson, but Enzo Maresca is planning for him to compete with Liam Delap according to reports.

Jackson has seen his future questioned following the arrivals of both Delap and Joao Pedro this summer, with the Brazilian in particular making an instant impact.

For the first time in his Chelsea career Jackson faces competition for his place, and if he stays it will be interesting to see how he responds.

Maresca planning for Jackson to compete with Delap

Jackson had a disappointing Club World Cup campaign, in which he got sent off, failed to score and was an unused substitute in the final.

The Senegal international is attracting interest from a number of clubs, both in Europe and the Premier League, although no official offers have been made.

Juventus like Jackson, whilst Premier League trio Aston Villa, Manchester United and Newcastle have all been credited with interest.

Chelsea are said to value Jackson between £80-£100m, whilst the Magpies are said to value at striker at around £65m.

Reportedly the expectation is Jackson will be a Chelsea player come the end of the window, and Mail Sport have reported Maresca is planning for him to compete with Delap, whilst Pedro will offer versatility across the frontline.

The report adds Chelsea could still receive offers before the end of the window, and it’s hard to see Chelsea’s current asking price being met.

Chelsea want both Garnacho and Simons

Whilst Jackson’s future is uncertain, Chelsea want to add both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho to their ranks.
