The Tennessee Titans suffered a 26-0 loss to the Houston Texans on Sept. 28 at NRG Stadium, the first shutout loss since 2019.
That was a 16-0 loss at Denver on Oct. 13. It was a landmark game in the Mike Vrabel era, with Marcus Mariota getting benched for Ryan Tannehill at quarterback after the team started 2-4.
Tannehill started the next game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Titans won 23-20 as they began their run to the AFC Championship Game.
The situation is much different in 2025. The Titans are 0-4, with coach Brian Callahan’s record 3-18 through 21 games over a year and a half.
Callahan reiterated after the Texans loss that he wasn’t worried about job security.
But the Titans’ offense has struggled the first four weeks in Cam Ward’s rookie season, with Callahan handing off play-calling duties to QB coach Bo Hardegree prior to the Texans game.
Callahan’s record is the worst start to a coaching tenure since Ken Whisenhunt in 2014 and 2015. Whisenhunt went 3-20 before being fired midseason in 2015 after a Week 8 loss.
