Thursday Headlines: Kentucky vs. Louisville Gameday Edition

It’s Kentucky vs Louisville tonight on the volleyball court.

Two of the top volleyball squads in the country face off in Louisville tonight, as 6th-ranked Kentucky takes on 3rd-ranked Louisville.

Kentucky leads the all-time series 31-28. Kentucky won seven straight from 2013-2019, but Louisville has dominated the series recently, winning the last four matchups. Tonight represents an opportunity for Kentucky to halt that streak.

This Kentucky Volleyball team has proven it belongs among the top teams in the country, defeating a Penn State squad that was ranked in the top 5 at the time and is currently ranked in the top 15, and an SMU team ranked in the top 10. Kentucky’s only losses this season have come against Nebraska (ranked #1) and Pittsburgh (ranked #5).

Tonight is another opportunity for a big win for the Cats. You can catch the action at 6 p.m. on ESPNU.
