Troma Entertainment is mostly known for gifting the world with two things: Toxie and James Gunn. The first is the protagonist of the schlocky film studio’s most successful project, The Toxic Avenger, a low-budget superhero satire that recently got a gory remake that’s playing theaters now. The second is perhaps its brightest star; Gunn got his start working on 1996’s dark comedy Tromeo and Juliet, and has since risen to the very top of the superhero-movie-industrial-complex. However, I’d like to suggest adding a third, much less well-known item to the list of Troma’s biggest achievements.
