The Boston Celtics will have more playing time for younger players next season

The Boston Celtics have not had much in the way of playing time when it comes to their younger players given their status as contenders. But as Boston takes a step back to duck under the the NBA’s dreaded second apron and all the team building barriers created by it in the collective bargaining agreement (CBA), there are fewer star players and veterans eating up the playing time.

As a result of this unusual — at least for the Celtics — state of affairs, the team’s incoming rookie class and younger players, who will get more of a chance to spread their wings and show what they can do when their number is called.
