Welcome to the nth annual Streamliner. We have a talented selection of nominees this weekend vying for your screen time. From the messy chaos of sexy American singles, to Owen Wilson Happy Gilmore–ing it up and a bunch of killing experts fighting the Predator, it’s looking like a well-rounded week of entertainment. Benicio del Toro returns to the world of Wes Anderson after The French Dispatch as Zsa-zsa Korda, a dedicated businessman constantly dodging assassination attempts. After the latest close call, Korda reaches out to his estranged daughter, Liesel (Mia Threapleton), a soon-to-be nun, to see if she’d be a good fit to become his heir.

➽ It’s kind of surprising that Michael Cera, a man who seems tailor-made for a Wes Anderson movie, is co-starring in his first Wes Anderson movie here.
Ballerina
The long-teased John Wick spinoff Ballerina stars Ana de Armas as a dancer-assassin seeking revenge for her father’s death. (Seeking revenge is the requirement to being in the John Wick franchise.) Apparently the film is set before the events of Chapter 4, so you’ll get more of the Continental Hotel, a Keanu Reeves cameo, and the last Lance Reddick performance.

Good Night, and Good Luck
CNN will be livestreaming George Clooney’s penultimate performance in this Tony-nominated show, sparing anyone who did not want to shell out for movie-star-on-Broadway ticket prices. Most important, audiences now get to realize that Paul Gross is in this! —Kathryn VanArendonk

Predator: Killer of Killers
Okay, no, this isn’t the other Predator movie with Elle Fanning (that’s coming in November). Killer of Killers is an animated anthology film that seems like the set-up to a “man walks into a bar” joke. The premise reads “A Viking raider, a ninja in feudal Japan, and a World War II pilot encounter a fierce intergalactic hunter.” Hint: They’re all probably fighting to the death.

What? Owen Wilson plays a faded white middle-aged golf pro who finds a heartwarming new lease on life when he discovers a young prodigy to coach? Yep, it’s an Apple TV+ show. —Nicholas Quah

Ocean With David Attenborough
Natural historian and conservationist David Attenborough has spent basically his entire adult life begging us to care more for the world around us, and his latest documentary film goes to “our final frontier” by diving underwater. As per usual, the visuals are absolutely stunning, the effect of humanity’s consumerist culture absolutely devastating. — Roxana Hadadi

The 2025 Tony Awards
Hosted by Tony Award winner and silver-screen Elphaba Cynthia Erivo, this year’s ceremony is honoring an impressive field of fierce competitors, especially in Leading Actress in a Musical. It’s always great to get a taste of the new Broadway performances during the televised awards show, but apparently, the Tonys are getting a blast from 2015 with a Hamilton performance from the original cast. Recession indicator.

Love Island USA, season seven
After season six delivered the best cast of Love Island USA yet, can a new batch of sexy American singles keep the momentum (and the memes) going? According to Kathleen Walsh’s premiere recap, “All of our Love Island archetypes are represented, plus one single mom, one out queer woman (happy Pride!), and a man who never removes his cowboy hat.” That certainly sounds promising — especially now that they’ve already kicked off that contestant. —Tolly Wright

Sinners
Kind of a tough spot. It’s not encouraged to invite a vampire into your home, but c’mon, it’s Sinners. Ryan Coogler’s thriller rocked audiences, becoming one of the best box-office stories of the year. It’s still going strong in theaters, but now, you can watch double the Michael B. Jordan at home. Have some garlic handy.
