TG planning new industrial policy: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: The government will announce a robust industrial policy in three to four weeks. It will look into the issue of clearing pending industry incentives announced in the past, said IT and industries minister D. Sridhar Babu.

Speaking at the industry body FTCCI’s Annual Excellence Awards 2023 presentation ceremony here on Friday, he agreed to look into the pending industrial incentives of `3,700 crore. The minister further said that the government will also bring out a policy for micro, small and medium enterprises.

Dr Mallu Ravi, Nagarkurnool MP, lauded the efforts of FTCCI. No development is possible without industrial development. Many governments are competing with each other on industrial growth, he said.
FTCCI president Meela Jayadev stressed on the issues relating to trade licence fees based on area and electricity bills.
