Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to four-star athlete Tae Walden Jr. on Oct. 3.
“I am beyond blessed to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville,” Walden Jr. announced.
The 6-foot-3, 165-pound prospect is an in-state target from Collierville High School in Collierville, Tennessee. He is the son of former NFL linebacker Erik Walden. He won a Super Bowl championship with Green Bay in 2010.
247Sports ranks Tae Walden Jr. as the No. 20 athlete in the class and No. 13 player in Tennessee.
Florida State was the first school to offer him a scholarship on Jan. 22. Other schools to offer the 2027 prospect scholarships include East Tennessee State, Southern Miss, UNLV, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Austin Peay, Purdue, Louisville, Maryland, Georgia State, Tulane, Indiana and Ole Miss.
Linebacker JP Peace is Tennessee’s only 2027 football commitment.
