Steelers sign undrafted rookie OL to practice squad

The Pittsburgh Steelers have filled the last spot on their initial 2025 practice squad — re-signing undrafted rookie guard Aiden Williams.

After clearing waivers, Williams now joins several other released Steelers to rejoin Pittsburgh via the practice squad, such as WR Robert Woods, CB James Pierre, DL DeMarvin Leal, and fan-favorite CB Beanie Bishop Jr.

A two-time Second-Team All-NSIC selection, Williams was a pivotal member of the Minnesota Duluth rushing attack — one that led the NSIC and ranked seventh nationally in 2023. Pittsburgh was clearly impressed with his work over the past few months during training camp and throughout the preseason, as he now has the opportunity to hone his skills while waiting to be potentially called up to the 53-man roster.

The Steelers boast one of the most complete 53-man rosters in the NFL — including a 17-player practice squad filled with talent, which now features Williams.
