Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf are building as much chemistry as they can before training camp in a few weeks.
The UCLA throwing session and partnering up at Cam Heyward’s Iron for Impact charity golf event appear to be just the start for the two — as Metcalf stated what’s next for the duo.
At Steelers mandatory minicamp, Metcalf was asked if there were plans for any more throwing sessions — and this was his response (courtesy of Pittsburgh Post-Gazette):
“Yes sir,” Metcalf said. “We’re both based out in California. So, yeah, planning on getting together with him — throwing sessions, just watching film or talking ball.”
The Steelers are banking on the Rodgers-to-Metcalf connection being the heart and soul of the Black and Gold passing attack — and it’s a positive sign that the two have been spending so much time together as of late.
