The Orlando Magic are currently at NBA Summer League with a few Spartans on their roster, including former Michigan State basketball star Jase Richardson, who they drafted in the first round.
Early in the game, Jase Richardson comfortably hit his first basket of his pro career with a smooth three-pointer over the Sacramento Kings. After the shot and watching Richardson handle the ball as the starting point guard, social media lit up, especially from Orlando Magic fans. Despite going to the playoffs, the Magic were the worst three-point shooting team in the league last year and also desperately needed to add more ball-handling this summer, two things that Jase can do well, and it was on full display on Thursday night. Richardson, who has been nursing an ankle injury, did go to the locker room after taking a hard foul.
