Sights and Sounds from Day 1 of Bucs Rookie Minicamp

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers opened their three-day rookie minicamp on Friday and there was a lot to take in.

Before taking the field, the Bucs spoke to the media and there were already some players making some notable statements led by Tez Johnson poking fun at his former Oregon teammate, Bucky Irving. He pointed out that he and Irving used to be competitive in practice, and he reminded everyone he is still faster than Irving.

The Bucs will have 61 players in total at rookie minicamp over the weekend, and some veterans will also have tryouts during that time.

Just before rookie minicamp kicked off, five of the Bucs’ six draft picks signed with the team. The only player who remains unsigned is Benjamin Morrison and he was present at camp but did not participate.

Here are the sights and sounds from Day 1:

Todd Bowles says rookie CB Jacob Parrish was the fastest player on the field today. Parrish also had a pick.
