A new trailer has arrived for Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, bringing Aardman Animations back to the big screen.
In the new clip, which you can check out above, a mysterious hairy creature seems to be haunting the residents of Mossy Bottom Farm. Its presence is shaking the animals to their cores – and even disrupting a game of Jenga for the pigs. With time running out before Halloween arrives, Shaun is determined to save the big day, so he sets to work to save the farm, with some help from his friends, of course…
In typical Aardman fashion, the trailer makes the most of its spooky themes by poking fun at some horror classics, including the iconic scene from Psycho. We bet you’ve never seen that many sheep in a shower before.
Per the movie’s official synopsis, “Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom sees the residents of Mossy Bottom Farm looking forward to Halloween – until the clumsy Farmer trashes the Flock’s treasured pumpkin patch! When Shaun turns MAD SCIENTIST to fix the problem, things rapidly spiral out of control… With the Farmer missing and a wild beast roaming the woods of Mossingham, all the ingredients are in place for a monstrously fun family adventure.”
This is the first big-screen outing for the stop-motion animation studio since 2024’s Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, which saw the titular duo come up against historic foe Feathers McGraw for one more showdown.
Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom arrives in theaters on September 18. In the meantime, check out our guide to other upcoming movies to add to your watchlist in 2026.
