SC defers to Oct 3 hearing on pleas seeking reconsideration of 2022 PMLA verdict

The Supreme Court has postponed to October 3 the hearing on whether its 2022 decision upholding the Enforcement Directorate’s powers under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act needs reconsideration. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta requested the adjournment, which was opposed by Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal. The court will review pleas challenging the previous verdict.
