Resident doctors return to work after ending stir over Kolkata rape-murder

Hundreds of resident doctors across India ended an 11-day strike on Friday following a Supreme Court appeal. The strike was in response to the alleged rape and murder of a junior doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9. The strike had halted non-emergency services nationwide, impacting patient care.
