Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry is to return to the Germany national team, the Bild newspaper and broadcasters Sky said on Wednesday.

According to the reports, coach Julian Nagelsmann will nominate Gnabry to his squad for the Nations League final four on June 4-8 on home soil. Germany will face Portugal in the semi-finals.

Gnabry last played for the national team last November. He missed the quarter-finals against Italy in March due to his inconsistent performances at Bayern.

According to Bild, forward Niclas Füllkrug is also set to return due to the absence of injured Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst.

Füllkrug last played with Germany in September 2024 and has since struggled with Achilles tendon problems, which had an impact on his form.

Nick Woltemade of VfB Stuttgart is to be called up for the first time. The forward is expected to play the under-21 European championship in Slovakia in June, but has declared he has no objections to playing in both tournaments.
