Philippines, US, Australia, Japan, New Zealand to hold joint maritime activity in South China Sea

Australia and the Philippines will conduct a joint maritime activity with Japan, New Zealand, and the United States in the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone. This exercise aims to enhance regional cooperation and stability in the Indo-Pacific. It follows recent tensions between the Philippines and China over disputed areas in the South China Sea.
