No one will ever consider Boston Celtics Hall of Fame small forward Paul Pierce timid when it comes to making bets about the team he won a title with in 2008. And no one will accuse the Truth of going back on his bets after having wagered that he would walk from his home to the local studios of his “Speak” show broadcasting gig for Fox in a bathrobe, a walk of close to 20 miles if Boston lost Game 2 of the East Semis to the New York Knicks.
The 47-year-old did the deed, to his credit, after the Celtics did indeed drop the second game of their 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals second round series with the Knicks on Wednesday (May 7) night.
Pierce and fellow Boston alum Kevin Garnett recently talked about his losing bet, the Celtics – Knicks series, and more on a recent episode of the “Ticket and the Truth” podcast. Check it out below!
