Patriots catch major break at RB with latest Week 11 injury update

New England Patriots running back Terrell Jennings, who is battling a knee injury, is expected to play against the New York Jets on Thursday night, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

There were some questions about the running back depth after the team dropped Wednesday’s injury report. Rhamondre Stevenson was ruled out for a third straight week with a toe injury, and Jennings was listed as questionable.

It looked like the team might be down to rookie TreVeyon Henderson and D’Ernest Johnson as their only two options.

Jennings being available is great news for the Patriots considering he has been a solid complementary back for the team on the field. He has tallied 22 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown in his limited snaps so far this season.

The Patriots are hoping to avoid any further injuries at the running back position on a short week.

Stevenson looks like he could be on his way back after returning to practice this week as a limited participant. If the team can get out of this game unscathed, things might finally be looking up for them from a health perspective.
