Paige Bueckers received a standing ovation in her final UConn home game

UConn superstar guard Paige Bueckers finished out her playing days at Gampel Pavilion on Monday night in the second round of the 2025 women’s NCAA tournament.

No. 2 seed UConn eliminated No. 10 seed South Dakota State in the Round of 32, setting up the Huskies for yet another trip to the Sweet 16.

Bueckers is one of the all-time legends in Storrs, and Monday night’s victory was the last game she would play in front of the UConn home crowd in her career.

As she exited the court for the last time, Bueckers and two of her teammates (guard Kaitlyn Chen and forward Aubrey Griffin) received a very classy standing ovation from the Huskies fans in attendance.

While Bueckers and UConn can’t guarantee how they will go in this year’s tournament, they can always remember this very special moment for the historic college hoops program.
