After his win over MJF at All Out Toronto last Saturday, Mark Briscoe told us he was bring a MYSTERY PARTNER to Dynamite for his match with Hologram against a trio of Callis Family members. Pretty much everyone immediately figured this would be the returned of long-sidelined Conglomerator and two-time AEW International champion Orange Cassidy, to the point Tony Khan admitted there wasn’t “much mystery” to Briscoe’s announcement.
Whatever mystery there was dissipated during this interview early in Sept. 24’s show.
The moment was still pretty great. OC showed up when proud painter Don Callis was trying to unveil his latest masterpiece-that’s-actually-the-cover-of-a-gay-romance-novel to celebrate Kazuchika Okada’s win (over Mascara Dorada and teammate Konosuke Takeshita… awkward!) on PPV this past weekend.
Entering to his Pixies’ theme, Cassidy looked fit and quickly showed that he hadn’t missed a beat while missing most of the year-to-date.
The Conglomerators won when Hologram pinned Hecichero, but the celebration was cut off by Kyle Fletcher to set up a match between the TNT champ and the undefeated Hologram next Wednesday on Dynamite’s Sixth Anniversary show.
More about that, and complete results from tonight’s Dynamite, in our live blog here.
