Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that the central government is in talks with the last remaining insurgent group in the northeast, ULFA (Independent). The government has signed 12 agreements with various groups in the region. Shah also mentioned efforts to resolve the racial violence in Manipur through dialogue between affected communities.
