College football returns to East Lansing this Friday when the Spartans play host to Western Michigan under the lights of Spartan Stadium.
This year, the second for most of the new staff in East Lansing, is an important year for the staff to continue the momentum of their program and to keep the trajectory going upwards.
Newly named captain Sam Edwards talked to the media about the season opener with WMU and how his lifelong dream of being a Spartan came to fruition, along with being a captain.
