New York Giants players rejoice following Micah Parsons trade

On Thursday, the football world was left stunned by news of the Dallas Cowboys trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.

Parsons’ departure from the NFC East means the Giants will no longer have to face him twice per season, like they’ve had to do over the past four years since Parsons entered the league in 2001.

Instead of preparing for Parsons in Weeks 2 and 18 of the regular season, when Big Blue faces off against the Cowboys, the Giants will not have to see Parsons until Week 11, when they host the Packers.

Parsons, of course, requested a trade back on August 1 after the Cowboys failed to reach an extension at the price he desired.

Following the trade request, Giants offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor shared his thoughts in a sarcastic post on X.

Once the trade had been agreed upon, Eluemunor followed up on his tweet from earlier this month.

In addition to Eluemunor, veteran quarterback Russell Wilson also had a little fun with the trade, offering his help to get Parsons moved up North.

Parsons has been elected to the Pro Bowl every year since entering the league. Needless to say, the Giants’ offensive linemen (and quarterback) are happy they will no longer have to plan for Parsons twice a year moving forward.
