The New York Giants continued to tweak their 2025 roster on Wednesday, waiving rookie cornerback Korie Black and cutting veteran wide receiver and kick returner Gunner Olszewski.
The moves corresponded with the waiver claims earlier in the day. The Giants were awarded safety Beau Brade and cornerback Rico Payton.
Olszewski, who took back his role as the Giants’ primary kick and punt returner this summer from Ihmir Smith-Marsette, is expected to be re-added to the 53-man roster.
Smith-Marsette was released on Tuesday but signed back to the practice squad on Wednesday.
Black was a seventh-round pick by the Giants in the 2025 NFL draft (246th overall) out of Oklahoma State. He was waived when the Giants were awarded Payton on Wednesday.
The Giants are expected to re-sign Black to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
