Netflix’s R-rated animated movie Fixed is more personal than you’d think

Fixed, the raunchy new animated Netflix movie from Samurai Jackand Primalcreator Genndy Tartakovsky, follows a mutt named Bull (Adam DeVine) who’s about to get neutered, and copes by spending a raucous night out with his buddies. It almost didn’t get released: Tartakovsky had to censor some of the art to get approval for the R-rated film, but even after that, Warner Bros. Discovery declined to release the movie. which stayed shelved until Netflix picked it up for release. Tartakovsky, who co-scripted Fixed along with The Simpsons Movie writer Jon Vitti, says he was determined to get it to audiences,because it’s a deeply personal film.
