New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a notice and sought the response of the National Testing Agency (NTA) on plea seeking to cancel the National Entrance cum Eligibility test-2024 (NEET) for admissions into Undergraduate medical course due to discrepancies in results.
The apex court has posted the matter to July 8 along with another similar petition.
A vacation bench of the Supreme Court comprising of Justices Vikram Nath and Ahsanuddin Amanullah, said that, “the sanctity has been affected, so we need answers.” However, the bench, refused to stay counselling process for admissions of successful candidates and said the “counselling can start.”
The plea was filed in the Supreme Court on June 1 before the announcement of results questioning the decision of NTA to award grace marks.�
