Nebraska football secured a convincing 68-0 win on Saturday night, also gaining momentum on the recruiting trail. Rivals’ Greg Smith put in a prediction for 2027 offensive tackle Matt Erickson on Sunday morning.
Erickson is the No. 38 overall offensive tackle in the 2027 class, and the fourth overall player in his class from the state of Nebraska per the Rivals industry rankings. He measures 6-foot-7 and weighs 283 pounds.
Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Ohio State have all been recruiting Erickson to this point. Erickson has taken eight visits to Nebraska and is scheduled to return to Lincoln for several more home games.
This would be a solid pickup for the Huskers, as they continue to build their offensive line. Erickson has solid size and is productive in both run and pass-blocking situations. The program has done a respectable job of recruiting the offensive line, and they have built momentum at the position.
