NDA allies unanimously declare Naidu as AP CM

Vijayawada: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was unanimously declared as Chief Ministerial candidate during a crucial meeting convened with the NDA alliances – BJP and Jana Sena in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan proposed the name of Naidu to declare him as the Chief Ministerial candidate and supported by the BJP MLAs. A resolution was also passed declaring Naidu as the Leader of the House in Andhra Pradesh Assembly. The NDA leaders will submit the resolution to the Governor.

The Governor would then invite the NDA to form the government. Naidu will take oath at the swearing-in ceremony to be conducted on Wednesday near Gannavaram.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers of other States and other prominent leaders would attend the ceremony. The administration is making elaborate security arrangements for the smooth conduct of the ceremony and security has been enhanced at Gannavaram and its surroundings.
