Miami Hurricanes, Your Unlabeled Sneaker is Coming: SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 'Mandarin' Release Date and Info

Miami Hurricanes, Your Unlabeled Sneaker is Coming: SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 ‘Mandarin’ Release Date and Info originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

I’ve loved the Miami Hurricanes football program for as long as I can remember. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Devin Hester, Willis McGahee, Jeremy Shockey, Greg Olsen, Bryant McKinnie, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson—I could go on forever.

As much as I love the swag of the program, I love the colors. The orange and green are as big and bold as the team’s attitude in the 1990s. While the SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 has some strong Miami tie-ins, it’s not officially the sneaker of the Hurricanes.

I’m just calling it that, and it’ll be the inspiration for my next Hurricanes jersey.

The collaboration between SoleFly and Jordan Brand taps directly into the Miami DNA. Here’s what you need to know:

The SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 is set to drop during the holiday season. The retail price is $225.Official colorway: Sail / Gorge Green / Bright MandarinStyle code: IF4491-100Retailers: Nike SNKRS, SoleFly, and select Jordan Brand stores

According to House of Heat, this AJ3 boasts a creamy leather base with rich orange hits and subtle green detailing—reminiscent of that unmistakable Miami swagger. The mix of gorge green and bright mandarin gives off serious Hurricanes energy, even without the official licensing. If you’ve been waiting on a bold holiday drop that stands out from the usual muted winter palette, this one is built for you.

I’m trying to figure out which Hurricanes jersey I’m going to pair with these when I cop them. I’m leaning toward a white Sean Taylor jersey, and I’m pretty sure that will be the choice. However, that Ed Reed No. 20 is also an option. Check back with me around the holidays. I will have it narrowed down by then.
