A racer who was seriously injured in a crash during qualifying for the Manx Grand Prix has been transferred to a UK hospital.
Garry Broughton, from Leicester, came off his machine at Joey’s on the mountain section of the 37.7-mile (61km) course during qualifying for the Junior and Supertwin classes on Tuesday evening.
Organisers said the 44-year-old’s condition was “serious” and he continued to “be assessed and receive treatment for injuries sustained” at Aintree Hospital on Merseyside.
The incident happened on the final lap of the session, leading it to being red-flagged shortly after 20:00 BST.
The 2025 Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT are scheduled to run until 29 August.
