Mejbri’s error: Salah secures victory for Liverpool
Liverpool were awarded the penalty deep into stoppage time, in the 93rd minute, after the ball struck Mejbri’s arm following a pass from Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong. Cameras captured the Tunisian midfielder’s immense frustration after the incident.
This victory allows Liverpool to strengthen their position at the top of the table with 12 points, making it four wins in a row in the league.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah keeps rewriting history: his goal against Burnley was his 188th in the Premier League, making him the fourth-highest scorer in Premier League history, trailing only Alan Shearer (260), Harry Kane (213), and Wayne Rooney (208).
