The famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles will race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Carb Day for the very first time to see who is really the top dog.
Here’s what to know and how to catch the race.
What is the Wienie 500?
The inaugural Wienie 500 will be a showdown between six different Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles representing different regions of the U.S. based on local styles of hotdog.
According to a press release from Oscar Mayer, The Wienie 500 lineup will be:
Chi Dog (Midwest)New York Dog (East)Slaw Dog (Southeast)Sonoran Dog (Southwest)Chili Dog (South)Seattle Dog (Northwest)
Oscar Mayer is trading the highway for the speedway this Carb Day (Fri. May 23) with the inaugural âWienie 500â â a first-of-its-kind showdown where all six Wienermobiles will make their racing debut at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

How to watch the Wienie 500
If you’re not planning on being at the track on Carb Day, no worries. You can still tune in to watch the Wienermobile race at home.
The Wienie 500 will be streaming live on Friday, May 23 at 2 p.m. via the FOX Sports app, or tune into the FOX Sports Indy 500 pre-show on Sunday to see highlights from the race.Â
