‘Law on sexual offences women-centric, male partner not always wrong’: Court acquits man accused of rape on promise of marriage

Allahabad High Court acquitted a man accused in a rape case, emphasizing that the burden of proof in sexual offences lies on both parties, not just the male. The accused was also charge-sheeted under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (prevention of atrocities) Act, 1989.
