Travis Kelce confirmed the Kansas City Chiefs will play against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil to start the 2025 season. He announced this on the recent episode of the New Heights podcast, well before the league’s ideal plan.
“This doesn’t come out until Wednesday?” said Kelce. “Yeah, we’re definitely playing in Brazil. I also heard those rumors.”
The Chiefs had been rumored for weeks for the game in Brazil without official confirmation until this past Wednesday’s league announcement. The ten-time Pro Bowler spoiled things a few hours early after the release of the latest episode.
“I’ll be there playing football in the f****** heat,” said Kelce, “There’s just something about getting closer to the equator that I don’t want to put on a football uniform doing that. I’ve been in Jacksonville in September and that’s f****** miserable.”
Kansas City played internationally two seasons ago in Germany against the Miami Dolphins and has recently been featured in a game in Mexico. The reveal may not be ideal for the league, but the future Pro Football Hall of Famer doesn’t mind breaking exclusives for his audience.
