Japan’s parliament to hold session next week on BOJ rate hike

Japan’s parliament plans a special session on August 23 to discuss the central bank’s recent decision to raise interest rates, according to government sources. The lower house financial affairs committee, which will conduct the session, is expected to invite Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda to attend.
